My letter from Pearson

Pearson is apparently very punctual about reporting scores...my PCAT scores that is. Yes, I received them. Sigh. They are not very good. I did get a 71% on Biology though. I didn't expect that I was so much better at bio than 71% of everyone else who took the test that day. I might just got lucky at guessing. But over all, I did BAD!
I'm okay though. I still have my Kaplan PCAT course in the spring semester to help me improve my score. Life will get better. I know it.

Beside the not so great news, I have something else to show you!
Last friday was my sister birthday party and I got a chance to dress up for once! Here is my outfit:
After the party, some of my girls and I went to a club since we were all dressed up and the night was still young. All I'm going to say is that this outfit attracted more than just guy wanted to dance with me... It was an interesting night indeed. I will probably never forget it even if I wanted to. I had fun!

So I lied...I went shopping again and it's not Black Friday yet! =(

My parents came to visit my sister & I today at our dorm, and we went to Kohl's. We only went because my dad has a coupon for 30% any purchase. So I kinda had to take advantage of this deal! I didn't buy that many though, but here they are:
Cute tank for $2.40!!!!

Leather-ish belt for $2.40 as well.

Candie's peep-toed booties for $30

I also bought one spaghetti strapped tank top for $2.40 but it's nothing special so no picture. That were all. Hope you enjoyed the bargains! =)

My Fashion Challenge of the semester!

I have ballet every Thursday and I have to wear a black leotard over pink ballet tights as well as ballet shoes to class.
They don't sound that bad because you're thinking that I can just change in the locker room before and after class...But what you don't know is that I have another class 20 min after my ballet class and I need to walk 7-8 min to catch a bus to get to that class (last week I made it to class with no time to spare!). SOOOO I have no time to change whatsoever. That is why I need to create normal looking outfits that integrate this leotard and the pink tights in a way that I can just slip them on after ballet class and run to the bus with as little time as possible. NOW you know why I call this a challenge? But I think I've won because I have managed to come up with great outfits using only things from my small dorm closet! Enjoy and let me know your thoughts!

the pink flower would be on my hair bun (YES my hair has to be in a bun inside a hair net!!!) to pull the outfit together. SHOES: black peep-toed flats
SHOES: uncertain...may be black ankle boots?
SHOES: black or white flats/ may be grey oxford pumps if I feel like wearing heels...
This is a cardigan (see below) but I buttoned it up into a dress. I'm going to wear the belt similar in how I would wear it with the dress in the picture below. SHOES: not sure...black ankle boots may be?

SHOES: not sure again...black flats?
SHOES: I know this will look great in my gladiator pumps but I'm not sure I want to wear heels running around on campus (Texas A&M is quite bigggg if you don't know)
Since I only have one cool hat, I will be wearing this w/ all the other outfits (except the one w/ the pink flower) to hide my ugly bun!

I have several more but they are mostly high waisted skirts so they can be worn similar to the skirts above.

OMG I should have been studying instead!! Oh well, college happens =)

I'll be your shadow!

Remember that I was looking for pharmacy experience this summer? well I found one! Not for the summer but I can do this for this Fall...may be even Spring if I really like it. This experience will really make me a possible competitive candidate for the pharmacy school. I will also get to know Tia - the pharmacist there - and she can write me a recommendation letter!

Anyway, this is a Pharmacy for large animals so things won't be the same w/ the normal human pharmacy. I think I can still learn a lot and see if I really like pharmacy. And so far (after spending only one day) I really like it! If all else fails, I can may be a vet pharmacist! Now the only other things that stand between me and the pharmacy school are my PCAT score and my GPA. Well at least these I can improve! I'm not that worry about them because I have all the right tools to improve them: Kaplan PCAT course and a secret study process that I learned my psychology teacher this summer. I might tell you guys this secret if you guys ask :D

I'm excited!

I square I won't spend anymore money on clothes again......until Black Friday!

I'm not sure that I told you guys this, but I am taking a Beginning Ballet class at my university, and I need to purchase pink ballet tights for the class. So I asked my friend to drive me to the mall so I can buy them in Payless shoes store...and I ended up spending about $70 on more clothes and accessories! I am so addicted to shopping! Anyway, here are my bargains! Enjoy =)
You know Payless has been having this deal buy 1 get 1 1/2 off everything? Well since I went there for ballet tights, I had to pick out a pair of shoes for this awesome deal right!? $5 shoes = fabulous shoes!
I've looking for a pair of slacks for the longest time and I finally found one at F21 for only $9.99
I also wanted a blazer and been looking for one, so I bought this one at Charlotte Russe for $25. Not that cheap but apparently it was on sale from $34 originally....
OF COURSE I bought tights! I wanted lace tights cuz they are the trend right now...but it just look like the one i got from F21 so I'm not sure if this is the real lace tights. @ Charlotte Russe for $7.50 (I got 10% off this one bc of student discount so it was like $6 something)
Okay, this one was a must! I didn't have brown tights then and it was 99 cent! Now this is a sale! Also from Charlotte Russe.

The next few purchases are not from the mall. We stopped by Plato's Closet on the way and I got some cheap items!

Yellow clutch for $6
Red clutch for $4
Boyfriend shirt for $5
Dark grey vest for $5

There you have it...I promised I didn't break my bank =)

"you know what they say...roaring twenties. haha hope you have a great birthday"

I finally turned 20 on Thursday September 2nd! I am getting old but still want to have fun! My friends and family made me feel so special with all their wishes and presents! Their presents involve mostly sweet treats though...Frozen Yogurt and Fried Ice cream! Yummyly amazing! =) I also got birthday money from my grandparents soooo of course I spent some of it on shopping! But only because Rue21 gave 3 coupons to use. They really know how to make money...still, I was happy with what I got:

Another pair of sock-tights from Rue21 for $5.99
Studs for $5.99

Tangerine high-waisted skirt for $21.99 (I was afraid the black belt would make it look too much like Halloween so I switched to a brown belt instead)
2 weeks ago these shorts were $10 each, now they are $5...I guess fall is really coming!
Boyfriend shirt! It is dark blue and not black btw. I really need to get a real camera and not use my phone's. But then again, I rather spend that money on clothes! =)

With the 3 coupons, I spent totally about $37 for all of them. Not bad huh!
My parents are getting me ice cream birthday cake and cooking vietnamese noodle (Pho) for me today! I'm a happy 20 years old girl! ^_^

"How are we supposed to go shopping without a car?" "Take the bus and walk! Duh!"

So I've been busy moving into my dorm and stuff this past week; therefore, I couldn't blog! Moving was tiring! Unpacking was even less fun. But I like the way my room turned out =)

I was also interviewing and I got a job! I work in a research lab, which means no cute clothes for me! My shoes, skirts, and dresses are very sad. But it is a good job and I get pay more than my last job so it is important for me to keep it. I think it will be a great resume boost as well when I apply for pharmacy school. My boss, Dr. Bayless, will also be a good person when I need a recommendation letter! Another thing about pharmacy, I get to shadow a vet pharmacist every friday afternoon! I am really looking forward to that!
Beside all those good academic events last week, I set a side sometimes for shopping with my best friend Drew (she's a girl, just in case you are wondering...) I don't have a car and she just visiting, so we had to find other mean of transportation to get to the mall. We used the off-campus bus and our legs to get there! We actually had a lot of fun despite Texas hot summer. Here are some of the things I bought:

From Charming Charlie (CC) for about $12 total. Not cheap but they are so pretty!
CC for $19.98 - I love them!
CC for $5! So elegant!
Adorable hat from CC for only $3!
$5 at CC. Supper cheap high-waisted belt!
2-ways clutch at F21 for only $10!
My birthday present from my sister (F21)

I also bought tights (of course!) but they are not anything fancy so I didn't get their pictures. I did find 2 new places to shop for them though! And they are cheap there too! I bought 2 sock-tights from Payless shoes for about $8 total because they were buy one get one 1/2 off. They are grey with diamond pattern and black with vertical stripes. They are not as thick as I thought they'd be, but pretty great for the price! Then I bought 3 more normal pairs from Charming Charlie for only $6 total! Amazing right? Drew got a pair of white mirofiber tights from Icing store for less than $3 as my birthday present! They were so comfortable. I needed them for my ballet class, which is coming up on thursday!
Great shopping!!!

The day before my PCAT

I woke up today not knowing what to do. I knew that I should relax so I decided to stay home from the free tax shopping crowd. My mom and my sister went shopping without me. But as the day went on, I did not know how I should relax and I was getting frustrated and bored staying home alone...so I decided to go shopping! My mom stopped my the house and picked me up after the 1st shopping trip. Now for their 2nd and my 1st of the day! Since I did not have anything thing to do the whole day, I put together a cute outfit to match with one of my favorite shoes. I didn't take a picture of it though so may be I'll do that next blog if I remember =) Anyway, 2 persons commented on how they thought that my shoes were cute when I was at the shopping mall! They made the pain of the heels goes away, and me very happy =] I only went to 2 stores: Rue21 and Papaya. Here are my free tax findings:
@ Rue21. $ 5.00

Also @ Rue21. Buy one get one free! $19.99 total

I've been looking for a shirt dress and now I have one! @ Papaya. $17.59

I know I just bought 2 pairs of ankle boots last week but these were too cute and cheap to leave at the store!
@ Papaya. $20.99

I'm going to bed now to reserve my energy for the PCAT tomorrow morning! Wish me luck! =)

Last-minute back-to-school shopping and studying!

I finally got to print my PCAT admission ticket today! I got the morning test @ 8:30 am! At least I'll get it over with soon...

I'm going to a Vietnamese buffet restaurant after my test! At least I have something fun to look forward to that day. Then I'll get to move back to A&M for a brand new school year the day after that! Whoop! =)

Speaking of moving in, I went shopping for dorm stuffs yesterday and bought some more tights and shoes! I think I'm addicted to them!!! I bought 2 pairs of ankle boots at Walmart and 3 more pairs of tights at Forever21.

Classy and black! $22

From the Miley Cyrus & Max Azria line: $20

These two were $ 5.80 each

This one was $6.80

I think that was enough fun for summer shopping. I need to finish studying for PCAT and pack for school!
